Cory & Eddy assumed the quality wood crafting in March 2016, together we have over 30 years of woodworking experience and are dedicated to building every customer a quality Sea Chest or shadow box. Don't settle for second best or copycat knockoffs! Each Sea Chest is "CUSTOM BUILT TO ORDER" with your personal preferences and personalized laser'ed design ideas.
Rough estimate's for "The Original" are a build-by-build bases (The more I need to laser and custom fabricate the higher the price)... These are huge! (Trunk: 37inL x 26inH x 21.5inW, Lid: 37inL x 4.5inH x 21.5inW, weighing approximately 225 pounds!) Upon arrival each Sea Chest complete and ready for immediate display, everything is included in this price except shipping. Again, each order is different and the price is always negotiable based on preferences!
I also sell traditional Philippine handcrafted 24-inch warfare insignias, Chief Petty Officer/USMC rank devices, and traditional desk plaques $155.00 to $195.00 (Shipping Included).
Yes, you can find numerous websites that sell so-called 'custom military shadow boxes/sea chest' for less. Sorry, I don't have a warehouse full of prefabricated items, we start with raw wood and create master pieces. It is normal to expect some delay between the time an order is placed and shipment is made. Plan ahead and allow 5-7 weeks.
High quality wood, absolutely NO PARTICLE BOARD or other cheap fillers!
Vytek laser cutting and engraving systems will ensure your Sea Chest is personalized!
- MAPLE is a hardwood that has a fine minimal grain that makes for a brilliant laser'ing contrast, uniform appearance, and it sands to a glass-smooth finish with ease. It’s stronger and more durable than other woods, so it takes everything life throws at it – and looks beautiful for years to come.
- OAK Is a heavy, strong, light colored hardwood and the most widely used hardwood today. There are more than 60 species of oak grown in the U.S., which can be separated into two basic varieties; white and red. We use red oak for its natural hint of red contrast and beauty.
